A Look Back on the 2011-12 Quality School Program

Based on benchmark data, we believe charter schools that embraced the Quality Schools Program will see positive growth on upcoming AIMS (statewide student tests) results and school rankings.

This past year, we had 28 schools in the Quality Schools Program, which is designed to provide teachers and administrators with new teaching methods and data analysis skills. Association trainers visit each school site three to five times per year to help educators learn how to collaborate within teams and how to measure the effectiveness of their teaching.

But our trainings are just the foundation. For higher student outcomes, administrators must embrace the program and ensure teachers are practicing and implementing what they’ve learned.

Look for an upcoming study to see the Quality Schools Program’s effectiveness set to be published in early September. If you’re interested in becoming part of our Quality Schools Program, contact Justin O’Connell at justin@azcharters.org or 602-944-0644 ext 311.
